POSITION SUMMARY

The Tax Manager is responsible managing compliance and consulting engagements, including staffing, delivery of high quality work product, client communication and billing.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Prepares complex tax returns and performs tax research
  • Responds to tax notices from taxing authorities
  • reviews tax information supplied by client, will meet with or contact client regarding general or complex tax questions
  • Recognizes, anticipates and resolves tax issues; makes recommendations.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Masters of Tax preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public accounting firm
  • CPA required
  • Proficient in corporate, individual and partnership taxation
  • Previous experience supervising and training staff and seniors preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be highly motivated and experienced in managing multiple client engagements
  • Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize accordingly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Quickbooks
